southern plains relief
There might be a chance for relief later this week... The latest GFS brings in a closed low into the southern plains by late this week - with modestly favorable wind trajectories advecting in ample moisture to work with across OK/TX (with the 55F sfc isodrosotherm nosing into central OK by late FRI) and strong diffluent flow aloft and even some weak sfc convergance providing broad scale ascent to the warm sector. I'm hoping this trend will continue to help this drought.
